Jesus’ Last Week

Explored through story and play

Many important things happened in Jerusalem in the week before Easter. Telling the story of these events using a map can help us situate them and imagine them for real. It helps us see them afresh as things that happened within a specific political, social and geographical context.

We offer ten examples of how you might like to create a map of Jerusalem, using:

  • sticks

  • an outdoor sandpit

  • a sandbag

  • OutoftheBox materials

  • building blocks

  • lego

  • junk modelling

  • paint & paper

  • kitchen items

  • or walk around different places in your own home, garden, park, wood or beach
